Butterflies and moths

By Kappel & Kirby for E.Nister of Bavaria

Variety of camouflaged moths
Sold - order #709

Information

This scientifically accurate work by Kappel (Assistant Librarian, Linnean Society) and Kirby (author of numerous studies of butterflies and moths) covered most of the species of butterfly and moth inhabiting Central Europe and the British Isles.

Each print plate presents an interesting variety of butterflies and moth.

As their Latin names are notes at the bottom of the plate these prints are likely to be of special interest to butterfly and moth collectors.

Date

Circa 1910. This is an authentic, original print, not a reproduction
