Living Lights Luminous LifeLuminous Fish |

A really fascinating and unusual illustration from a rare work about
luminous life. Charles Holder said “the subject of phosphorescence
is one which affords the widest field for investigators” and “I
have read by the light of a luminous beetle”! |

1887. This is an authentic antique, not a reproduction. |

Living Lights, A Popular Account of Phosphorescent Animals
and Vegetables by Charles Holder Fellow of New York Academy of Sciences.

| Print method |
Steel plate engraving |
Condition |
Good condition. The images are clean and bright, there is a touch of
foxing in the margins of a few of these prints - this should not be a
concern as it can be covered by the matt during framing. |
| Size |
Approximately 7¾” by 5¼” (19 cm by 13 cm) |
