This rare antique engraving was made in 1799. It is from "Bowles's New Preceptor in Drawing...for the curious young gentlemen and ladies that study and practice the commendable art of drawing, colouring, etc." It was was made in London by Carrington Bowles in 1799 and is was printed from a copper plate engraving onto chain-linked cotton rich, paper. It's in very good condition considering it was made over 215 years ago.
