Aucuba japonica Aureo Maculata
Japan

This original antique lithograph was made in 1869 by Shirley Hibberd. This relatively rare series of prints portrayed amazingly attractive leaves, mainly from the tropics. They were selected, in the words of Hibberd, with an eye to intrinsic beauty, from amongst the thousands of beautiful leaved plants with which the earth is adorned. Their glossy coloring and elegant shape mean these prints look superb when framed. This is an authentic antique, not a reproduction.. This print is an authentic antique, not a reproduction. It is in excellent condition.
