This original antique chromolithograph was made in 1894 by John Gerrard Keulemans (1842-1912). Keulemans was one of the greatest scientific illustrators of animals . His illustrations are exceptionally detailed, accurate and lifelike. It is in excellent condition. It is an original antique, not a reproduction. It was made by lithography on smooth paper which is blank on the reverse.
