Dr Anton Reichenow (1847 - 1941) was a German ornithologist. He was editor of the Journal für Ornithologie from 1894 to 1921 and worked at Humboldt Museum from 1874 to 1921.
Reichenow was an expert on parrots.
In 1883 he published "Vogelbilder aus Fernen Zonen: Abbildungen und Beschreibungen der Papageien". This means "Bird Images from Far Zones: Illustrations and Descriptions of Parrots".
This had brilliant lithographs of all known parrots by Gustav Mützel, a famous wild life artist.
