Charlotte Mary Yonge (1823 - 1901) was a best-selling author in Victorian England. Most famous for for her novels, she was admired by Tennyson, George Eliot and Lewis Carroll.
She wrote a book "The Instructive Picture Book Or Lessons From The Vegetable World". It covered flowers by season, fruit and vegetables, useful and poisonous plants. It contained beautiful illustrations to educate children about the botanical world. Hence the lithographic illustrations were eye-catchingly attractive.
Here are some of the botanical lithographs for you to choose from. They are genuine antiques prints from 1860.
