This antique lithograph of butterflies is by Henry Humphreys. It was made c.1860 and has very high quality original hand coloring. These prints are particularly decorative as they show the butterflies on the wild flowers and plants they inhabit. The images of the butterflies swirling around flowers and plants evokes calm and peaceful summer days. This is a genuine antique, not a reproduction.
