Edible Plants

Discover genuine antique prints of edible plants such as fruit, vegetables and herbs.

For centuries, artists and scientists have illustrated edible plants.

Many plants created more wealth than anything else they discovered. Did you know nutmeg was was worth more than its weight in gold in the 1700s. Nutmeg only grew on The Spice Islands of Indonesia making them almost priceless. They were so valuable, the British traded the Spice Islands with the Netherlands in exchange for Manhattan, New York. But not before the British had secretly worked out how to grow nutmeg in elsewhere !

Choose from our beautiful selection of antique prints of edible plants.
