This large antique copper plate engraving is by George Selby Howard he was a distinguished English scientist and lawyer. It was made in 1788 for "The New Royal Cyclopaedia and Encyclopaedia". The engraving is printed on chain-linked paper with strong plate marks and is in good condition. The paper has a slight bluish tinge as is sometimes found on copper printed engravings.
