These rare antique prints of seaweeds and ferns are by Henry Bradbury (1831–1860). Bradbury made them using the ingenious nature printing technique.
Nature printing uses natural things such as ferns and seaweed to make the prints. It differs from most other printing methods as it used the object itself. Other printing methods involved an artist sketching the image onto a printing plate.
Nature printed images are finely detailed and life-like.
