High Res Images: 38 Seashells Artworks By John Mawe
Accurate, high resolution scans of 38 high quality antique pictures of seashells.
Images are 300ppi and will be sent to you by file transfer, usually within 1 working day.
The antique artworks measured 8.25 by 5 inches (21 by 13 cm) and were made in 1823 by engraving by John Mawe (a famous conchologist) and were superbly finished with hand painted colors. This set has all the prints in Mawe's best work on sea shells. The original prints were in very good condition with no foxing. There was an occasional small faint mark near the edge of the paper on a one or two of the prints.
