High Res Images: 17 Reptile Antique Prints By Charles Orbigny
Accurate, high resolution scans of 17 antique pictures of reptiles and amphibians from Charles Orbigny's work D'Histoire Naturelle.
Images are 300ppi and will be sent to you by file transfer, usually within 1 working day.
The scans were made from hand coloured antique engravings from the first edition of Dictionnaire D'Histoire Naturelle by Charles Orbigny which was published in 1849. Many experts consider these to be the finest natural history prints ever made.
They were in good condition, with some variation in the color tone of the paper, and were ~9.8 x 6.3 inches (25 cm x 16 cm).
