Haridwar is an ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills.

This is an antique steel plate engraving of a view in the Himalayan mountains. It is from a work by George Francis White and was published in 1837 in London. It was made on thick cotton-rich paper and is in good condition. The image is size is 19 x 13.5cm
