John Cary (1754 - 1835) was a British cartographer and publisher.
His fine, clear and accurate engraving represented a new phase in cartography as travel and commerce expanded globally.
His 'New and Correct English Atlas', published in 1787, embraced this change and he soon gained a reputation for his maps and globes.
Here are a collection of his maps from this atlas for you to choose from. They are genuine antique engravings from 1787 and have original hand painted outline colouring.
