John Wright

John Wright was a renowned horticulturist and editor of the London Journal of Horticulture in the latter half of the 1800s. He produced fine works depicting lovely fruit, vegetables and flowers and details about their background and how to grow them. He employed excellent botanical artists to illustrate the plants. The flowers in the prints we are offering were illustrated by Miss Gertrude Hamilton & Miss Marie Low.
