This antique engraving was made in 1824 and is from "A New And Complete System Of Universal Geography, Or An Authentic History And Interesting Description Of The Whole World And Its Inhabitants" by Christopher Kelly for the firm of Thomas Kelly and was printed by Rider and Weed in Little Britain in London. The work was, according to Kelly, 'embellished with engravings executed by artists if the first ability.'
It was made by copper plate engraving on medium weight, cotton rich paper. This map has been tightly trimmed on the top margin, visible in the scan.
