Louis Jean-Marie Daubenton (1716 - 1800) was a French naturalist and anatomist.
Daubenton was a key contributor to Buffon's Encyclopédie ou Dictionnaire. He published many articles in the memoirs of the Parisian Académie Royale des Sciences. From 1775, Daubenton lectured on natural history in the College of Medicine.
Here are some of the engravings from his contributions for you to choose from. They are genuine antique prints with original hand painted colours.
