This antique lithograph is from Houze's Atlas Universel Historique et Geographique, which was created to educate French university students in the 1850s. This was a fascinating work featuring maps of Europe and Asia throughout history, together with high quality tinted lithographs of important historical events and people. Houze was a notable member of the Geographical Society of France. This is an authentic antique lithograph, not a reproduction. It was made in 1850 and is in good condition with some scattered foxing As this is a large map, there is a folding line down the centre.
