Cyclamen persicum. Was used for soap making and by fishermen to stun fish.
This fascinating hand coloured botanical lithograph was made in Milan in 1847 by Ambrogio Robiati. Under each illustration is a detailed description in Italian in attractive Italic font.
It is a genuine antique, not a reproduction and is in very good condition.
The paper is medium weight and blank on the reverse side. The paper is a creamy tone.
