Pierre Pomet (1658 - 1699) was a Paris apothecary (pharmacist).
He became chief druggist to King Louis XIV and a purveyor of medicinal remedies from distant lands.
He published "A Compleat History of Drugges". This was the most complete work about drugs of the period.
It's interesting copper engravings showed the plants, minerals and animals used to make drugs.
