Richard Brook was a a printer and bookseller interested in botany.
He was especially interested in useful plants, gaining much of his knowledge from books in his bookshop.
He created a fascinating guide to useful plants from all around the world. Each lithograph portrayed several useful plants such as coffee, cardamom, turmeric and ginger.
