Richard Simkin (1850–1926) was a British artist and illustrator of military uniforms.
The War Office employed him to design recruiting posters, and illustrate the Army and Navy Gazette. He painted many watercolours of British Army uniforms.
His work on posters polished his ability to create eye-catching images. This led to him contributing illustrations to the Boy's Own Magazine, The Graphic and others.
Here are some of his lithographs for you to choose from. They are genuine antique prints, made in the 1820s.
