Robert Hogg (1818–1897) was a British nurseryman and botanist who contributed to the scientific classification of fruit.
He edited "The Florist and Pomologist: A Pictorial Monthly Magazine of Flowers, Fruits and General Horticulture". This contained excellent zincographs of fruit and flowers. They were hand coloured by artists who painted the detailed colours and applied touches of shellac to enrich the colors.
Here are some of the zincographs for you to choose from. They are genuine antique prints, made in the 1860s.
