A tubular bridge is a bridge built as a rigid box girder section within which the traffic is carried. The Britannia Bridge was designed by the famous engineer Robert Stephenson. It eventually burnt down in 1970.
These cyclopaedia engravings were created by Charles Tomlinson in the mid 1800's and are high quality engravings with superb details. They would look fantastic on a desk or in a study.
The paper is in excellent condition and is blank on the reverse side.
