The Fortress of Chunar on the Ganges

This is an original black and white steel engraving showing fascinating scenes in India in the 19th century, from a work by James Sprent Virtue. Chunar Fort was built in the 11th century on the banks of the Ganges River.It is a genuine antique print, not a reproduction and apart from a small water stain on the right margin, is in good condition. This would be easily covered by the matting.
