Garlic and yellow Gagea
This is an antique hand colored lithograph of wild flowers by Jane Loudon (1807-1858). Mrs Loudon had a fascinating, accomplished and challenging life. She was a pioneering authoress of early science fiction and (together with her husband) a leading horticulturalist of the period. Her beautiful hand colored lithographs are highly regarded by collectors of antique prints.
This is an original vintage lithograph made in England in the 1850s on heavyweight paper. The image is on one side, and the paper is blank on the other side. It is in excellent condition and the colors are fresh and bright.
