Creeping Saxifrage (Saxifraga Sarmentosa)

~9.5 x 6.25 inches (24 x 16cm).

This antique lithograph was made in the 1890s by Edward Step and William Watson. Their work focussed on plants which gave brilliance and charm to the garden, and are some of the best antique botanical illustrations.

The paper is high quality, matt with a subtle creamy tone. The coloring is bright and uses a beautiful range of colors. It is in good condition apart from a small 1 inch tear on the top margin.
