Ornate Eels

Mureana, Marbled, Snouted, Electric and Chain eels

28 x 20 cm (10.5 x 8 inches).

This exquisitely detailed engraving is from a set made in London by Abraham Rees. Each print shows the date made, ranging from 1797 to 1820.

This is an antique, not a modern reproduction and is in very good condition. The paper is thick, clean and bright, with a trace of darkening at the edge. Any coloring is hand painted. It was made by engraving and printing using a copper printing plate.
